Winter tire changeover in Edmonton, done in our own bays at 2843 50 Ave NW. Seasonal tire swaps and tire rotation are booked in minutes rather than days — and if your winters still need to go onto rims, it is our flat mount-and-balance price.
Seasonal tire swap: which job do you need?
Your winters are already on their own rims
This is the quick one. The summer wheels come off, the winter wheels go on, everything is torqued and the pressures are set. We quote it before we start, so you know the number first.
Your winters need to go onto the same rims
Then it is a proper tire swap: the summer tires come off the rims, the winters are mounted and balanced, and it costs our standard $100 for a set of four. A second set of rims pays for itself in a couple of seasons if you do this every spring and fall — we sell alloy wheels if you want to go that way.
When to switch to winter tires in Edmonton
The usual rule is once daytime temperatures sit at 7°C or below, because that is where all-season rubber starts to stiffen. In Edmonton that is normally mid-October, and the first real snowfall tends to send half the city to tire shops in the same week. Booking before that week is the difference between a same-day swap and a waiting list. More in our guide: when to switch to winter tires in Edmonton.
Tire rotation
Rotating front to back evens out wear and gets more kilometres out of a set. We do it on its own or while your wheels are already off for a changeover. Quoted before we start.
Need winter tires first?
We stock five Haida winter lines in Edmonton, all carrying the three-peak mountain snowflake mark for severe snow. The HD657 is the studded option. See winter tires and sizes.
Questions we get asked

Do you do tire rotation in Edmonton?
Yes. A tire rotation is booked in minutes and quoted before we start. It is easiest to do while the wheels are already off for a seasonal swap.
When is the busiest time for tire swaps?
October to December. The week of the first real snowfall is always the worst. Call (780) 518-1000 early in the season and we will give you a time.
